LICK IS THE NEW LIKE
This is the expression which began to make the Licker movement popular in 2013. Certain events, such as the leakage of the Lickers symbol to the general public in the 1970s, made it clear the trend might become known to the masses sooner or later.
May people believe the Lickers began to get together when the like button appeared on Facebook. The confusion is logical, as it was this social network which most disseminated the expression “Lick is the new like”, but history shows that a certain fascination for the wonders of the tongue existed in ancient Egypt.
Nowadays, the expression is so common in popular culture that the Lickers have decided to open up to society, such as offering enrolment with the Lick Academy to a slightly wider audience.
